Archery Classes

Beginning

Group classes designed especially for the new archer. These classes stress safety, range etiquette, and the fundamentals. Class sessions are usually one hour, once per week. These classes are also offered through community services departments. Check the "Scheduled Classes" section to locate community centers that offer classes

Intermediate/JOAD

A program for those who have completed a beginner’s class, learned the basics at 4-H or Scouts, or gained experience with a family member. Archers in this program participate in the Junior Olympic Archery Development program, a recognition and training program of the National Archery Association.

Impromptu Coaching Sessions

Just need a coach to check you out or work with you on a short-term or one-shot basis. Impromptu coaching sessions meet your needls. Whether you need help with a specific problem or an overall performance evaluation; the coach will work with you to achieve your goal. Call and arrange an appointment that works for your schedule.

Private Lessons/Coaching

If you prefer more focused, more intensive, or more personalized training; then, opt for private sessions. These regularly scheduled one-on-one lessons or coaching sessions are for archers at all levels — beginning, intermediate, or serious competitor. You may focus on acquiring and improving general skills or on attaining a specific level of performance through a structured goal-oriented program.

Group Lessons/Coaching

One-time or multi-session group lessons/coaching available for groups of all types: schools, clubs, families, friends, scouts, or social events (birthday parties, picnics, etc.). All equipment is included or archers may use their own gear.

Home School /Independent PE

Program and curricula designed to meet your home school association or school’s independent physical education requirements. You can build a complete P.E. unit with a mix of regularly scheduled instructor sessions and/or parent/educator sessions. Parent/Educator basic instructor certification can be included. Use your own equipment or rent from us.

Competition Training Program

Training designed specifically to develop competitive archers. If you’ve decided that archery is your sport; then this is the program for you. The emphasis is total development of the archery athlete — shooting technique, shooting and mental skills, competition rules, tournament preparation, strength and cardiovascular training, equipment care, tuning and maintenance.

Coaching is conducted in individual and, when appropriate, group sessions. You start or reenter at anytime during the year. You work with the coach to complete a comprehensive evaluation, and then develop a master training plan based on your goals, availability, and commitment. You’ll be face-to-face with the coach three or more times each month, and between coaching sessions, you’ll follow a personalized schedule of training routines. This training requires a commitment of 1 to 2-plus hours per day, 3 or more days per week. If you’re committed to excellence, this is your program.
